A Message from the Club President

I must begin by telling you that the Palmyra Macedon Rotary Club is the Club that has fun and gets things done.  Our members have a great camaraderie, ranging in over 45 years of service to our newly inducted Rotarian that joined just a few weeks ago.  Our Rotary spirit, Service Above Self, not only helps our communities to grow and flourish but we are able to reach around the world with the Rotary's International projects.  You can find Rotarians:

• Distributing Dictionaries to 3rd grade classrooms of the Macedon and Palmyra Elementary School;
• Cleaning up our highways and trails with our Adopt-a-Highway and Adopt-a-Trail projects;
• Giving to Dollars for Scholars each year for Palmyra-Macedon's graduating class;
• Sponsoring the Palmyra-Macedon High School Interact Club and RYLA for college aged students;
• Giving scholarships to local nursery schools each year;
• Hosting a foreign exchange student through the Youth Exchange Program each school year;
• Annually sponsoring Camp ONSEWAYA, a camp for physically challenged kids;
• Financially supporting Rotary International with international projects such as: Polio Plus - to eradicate Polio worldwide, The Wheelchair Project, The Shelter Box, The Clean Water Project, The Malawi Children's Village in Africia and so many more
• Filling the food pantries with food and financial support
• Sponsoring the Rotary Oratorical or Vocal Contests that enable students to receive scholarships from area schools

This is only a sampling; with the many donation requests we receive each year for financial support and logging many volunteer hours, a Rotarian's life is quite fulfilling.
